Friend,
Donald Trump and his MAGA minions are campaigning hard to tip the scales in Michigan. They are propelled by the Big Lie that the state’s 16 electoral votes were taken from him in 2020 even though Biden won by a comfortable 154,000+ vote margin.
The marquee race for pro-democracy forces in Michigan in 2022 is Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s re-election bid. Additionally, Attorney General Dana Nessel, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin all face epic races against die-hard Trump-backed candidates. These courageous women stood firm against extremists who showed they would stop at nothing to overturn democracy.

Trump’s followers have shown they will stop at nothing to overturn democracy.
The major statewide and congressional races will largely be determined in the suburban Detroit counties. Republican and Republican-leaning independent women who are pro-choice, or pro-life but troubled by the recent Roe decision; and younger voters (18 to 29) are likely to decide these elections.
