Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the many new people who joined the mailing list since before the Primary win.

I would like to invite you all to a meeting for anyone who wants to volunteer in any capacity.

DETAILS:
Thursday 9/1; 630pm Zoom Meeting
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89899608852?pwd=MVdBNXhIY0N5dzRaOW9RTUVIcHprUT09

Meeting ID: 898 9960 8852
Passcode: ZhA0KM

Sunday 9/11; 1145 in person and zoom accessible; Location Rockingham Meeting House
Zoom- https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84335889619?pwd=V3lXelZlN294L2dGU0IzeHhPdUhuZz09

Meeting ID: 843 3588 9619
Passcode: 3JAqsN

I think we can double it up as a sign painting party. Printed signs are being designed and printed now, but in the meantime, it would be good to start building some community and momentum. If you can't make it in person, we will have a time set aside for zoom folks to join the conversation

If you want to help a bit, but don't feel like coming to the meeting, email me and let us know if you can get yard signs up in your area (beyond your own yard) and if you can help spread the word via social media.

TALKING TO FRIENDS:

If you have friends who are persuadable to vote for an independent... I have a couple of thoughts on how to talk to them about considering my candidacy over Becca Balint's.

For conservatives: Appeal to their rational logic. Point out that I have far more in common with them than Balint, (my website has an appeal to conservatives on the front and center position). Namely:

  • I support Second Amendment rights, (Balint banned gun ownership for 18-21 year olds)
  • I support public safety and well resourced police departments, (Balint believes police officers should be sued for following the rules they were given)
  • I believe in strong borders, and skepticism regarding potentially suffocating regulations

For independents and moderates: Talk about my focus on the bigger picture of a healthier, more modern, more ethical, and more representative government that understands that there are important values from each side.

For progressives and liberals: Talk about that I am an M.I.T. award winning renewable energy professional, that I was a leader in the antiwar movement, and that I more openly call for the cuts in military spending that are needed to invest in
an economy based on human and planetary well being.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I look forward to working with you and for you.

Respectfully,

xxxxxx
