[1]Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin

Hey -

Kory here, Mandela's Campaign Manager. I made a very difficult decision last Friday during our team's budget meeting.

It's become pretty clear that in order to keep growing our broad coalition of supporters and to prepare to take on Ron Johnson in November, we urgently need to scale up our investments in staffing, advertising, and research.

The money wasn’t originally in our Q3 budget. But I gave the green light anyway.

It was a risk — there's no doubt about it. But right now we must be doing everything we possibly can to build out this campaign now that Mandela is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin. Because the truth is that we really don't have much time left before the general election.

So I was willing to bet that if I asked, you would help fill the gap in our budget. And I’m really hoping that you will. For Mandela. And for everyone who is ready to flip Wisconsin's Senate seat.

Can you make a contribution to Mandela's campaign for U.S. Senate today? Every donation will help fill the budget gap we created making critical investments in this campaign.

As I mentioned, this was a pretty tough call. As Campaign Manager, I need to balance a number of different budget priorities and make decisions on where to best allocate our resources. And I normally don't approve any additional spending unless I know we can cover the expense.

But if there’s one thing that sets this campaign apart, it’s the 100,000 donors who have contributed so far to stand with Mandela. That includes you, Winifred. I can't tell you how grateful we are to have your support.

Thanks for chipping in today if you can afford it.

~k
