John,

The Nation reports that there are enough bipartisan votes in the Senate to
pass a bill that would protect pregnant workers in America. But the bill
hasn’t come to the Senate floor for a vote.

I was proud to vote for the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act when it passed
the House. We must take this opportunity to get a bipartisan bill through
the Senate. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to my call for the Senate to bring
the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act up for a vote and send it to President
Biden?

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act would require employers to offer
reasonable accommodations to pregnant employees including light duty
assignments, more frequent bathroom breaks, and unpaid leave for doctor’s
appointments or recovery from childbirth. It would even ensure employers
provide things to pregnant workers as small as a stool to sit on or the
ability to carry a water bottle.

All too often, workers are left without appropriate protections and
working conditions. Pregnant workers are even more vulnerable to unfair
treatment or the denial of accommodations. We live in a society that fails
pregnant workers in far too many ways. Passing the Pregnant Workers
Fairness Act would be an important step in the right direction.

[ [link removed] ]Are you with me,
John? Add your name now in
support of this bill to protect pregnant workers. We must build support so
the Senate brings this bipartisan bill up for a vote.
