Kathy Hochul for New York

Hey Team — Miguel here.

As Team Hochul’s Director of Strategic Communications, I’ve been spending a lot of time looking into our far-right opponent Lee Zeldin’s history, and let me tell you, he knows how to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Zeldin certainly doesn’t have a record of standing up for New Yorkers in Congress. Instead, he’s known for these reasons:

Lee Zeldin is an extreme MAGA Republican. Not only did Zeldin fall in line with Trump on guns, abortion, and other critical issues, but he also led efforts against his impeachment, voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election results, and refused to support an investigation into the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Lee Zeldin is an anti-abortion extremist. Zeldin has a long record of supporting anti-abortion efforts: he has said he would support anti-abortion judges, allow states to pass new laws banning abortion that would criminalize women and doctors, and pass a constitutional amendment banning abortion nationwide. He has failed to support exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother, and he has been endorsed by extreme anti-abortion groups and advocates.

Lee Zeldin is against commonsense gun safety. Zeldin has a long record of extreme positions: he opposed Red Flag laws, advocated for repealing the SAFE Act, supported striking down New York’s concealed carry laws, and recommended implementing “stand your ground” laws in the state.

Lee Zeldin is so out of the mainstream, so devoted to the extreme fringes of his party, that it’s hard to believe he’s a New Yorker — much less that he could represent our state as governor.

The choice is clear: Zeldin wants to roll back our progress, while Kathy Hochul wants to move us forward.

Team, help us continue to spread the word about our far-right opponent and get out the vote for Kathy Hochul before November’s general election. Make a contribution of $10 or whatever you can toward our campaign’s August grassroots fundraising goal today:
