We fund voter protection Apparently, it’s not enough for Republicans to pass ridiculous voter suppression laws in a thinly-veiled attempt at protecting election integrity. Now, they’re also challenging laws that have directly expanded voting access. In Pennsylvania, Republicans challenged the state’s mail-voting law, asserting that the state Legislature doesn’t have the authority to allow voters to cast mail ballots without an excuse. But John, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected Republicans’ challenge and upheld the state’s law. Every time Republicans’ anti-democracy challenges and laws are rejected, it’s a reminder of just how unconstitutional and unpopular their culture wars really are. But we can’t get too comfortable. The next Republican challenge to voting access is right around the corner, and we’ve got to do everything we can to ensure we protect voting rights across the country. That’s why we’re funding voter protection staff in battleground states, to help build a movement for democracy and empower voters to make their voices heard. Can we count on you for $10 or $15?
