Mandela just won his primary and polls show he’s in the lead -- but only by a couple of points.
While Johnson is a multi-millionaire who wants to end programs that working people earn and pay into over a lifetime of work, so they can afford health care and retire with dignity, Mandela is building his grassroots campaign around putting working people first.
Mandela was raised by a public school teacher and third-shift auto worker. He understands the challenges facing Wisconsin families and has worked to address them as a community organizer, state legislator, and lieutenant governor.
He wants to continue delivering for Wisconsin working families as their next senator by bringing manufacturing back to Wisconsin, creating jobs, and lowering costs. And he’ll never sell out the Social Security and Medicare that Wisconsin workers earned.
Mandela will stand up to powerful special interests. His campaign isn’t powered by big money. But that means he’s counting on grassroots support to win this toss-up race. Will you split a contribution between Mandela’s campaign and mine?
With gratitude,
Sherrod
