Friend -- we know you've heard about our FEC end-of-year deadline. We want to make sure you know why it matters.
Right now, everyone from Donald Trump to the GOP to shady special interest PACs are investing heavily to flip Minnesota -- and Dean's seat -- red in 2020.
And here's the thing: They're spending more on ads and mobilization than Tina Smith, the DFL, and our campaign combined.Why? Because they think that Minnesota is a battleground state and they have big money to spend.
This district was one of the most competitive races in 2018. It hadn't swung Democratic in decades. Now our opponents want to take it back. They will be watching our FEC report like hawks. They want to know if Dean is showing weakness.
He's standing up for us every day in Congress. We can't let him down. Please chip in before our mid-month deadline to keep Dean on track!

Big out-of-state groups are already teeing up million-dollar ad buys to run come Jan 1, 2020 against swing district seats like Dean's that look vulnerable.
We know that they're eyeing Minnesota's 3rd. If we don't hit our goals, they will surely add Dean to their list -- and blanket our district with even more negative ads with months to go before the election.
