EDC Housing Needs Your Help   Urgent Call to Action! Friends, this Urgent Call to Action is coming from Democratic Women of El Dorado County along with the El Dorado County Democrats. It is in support of our friends at Housing El Dorado. This is a 2nd Action, following the Placerville City Council meeting on Aug 19th. Hopefully you are following the progress in addressing Housing and Homeless Issues in El Dorado County. There is still much to do to encourage our Board of Supervisors to continue on the path to provide emergency shelter, specifically the Shelter and Navigation Center at Perks Court in Placerville. ****************************************** From Housing El Dorado: As you may or may not be aware, disturbing and misleading flyers and a letter from the local El Dorado County Republican Party have recently been distributed regarding the proposed Perks Court Navigation Center and Emergency Shelter. This project was recently voted upon favorably by the Board of Supervisors in a 4 to 1 vote but has been delayed by misleading information. Housing El Dorado (HED), a local nonprofit focused on housing affordability and unhoused services within El Dorado County, issued a letter to correct inconsistencies on the flyers that were distributed. More recently (and following a meeting with stakeholders), HED has compiled a list of concerns and questions that have been circulating regarding the proposed Perks Court project, along with responses.
