Nottingham City Council together with the Radford Ward Councillors worked in partnership with the Community champions and the CPO’s to carry out a Big Spring Clean in the Radford, Lenton Boulevard area.
Even in the inclement weather the event was successful, local residents were very complementary of the great work carried out by everyone. A huge thank you to the Street Scene, Neighbourhood Operations Manager staff and the CPO’s who supported the event.
Last autumn the Radford Ward Councillors and Partners carried out Street Level Solving Problem Ward Walk in the Kimbolton Avenue and Derby Road area to look into waste management for example, overflowing bins on street, and side waste, flytipping etc.
Each officer took away their respective issues for their department, organisation and come up with tangible solutions to resolve the problems. The problem solving Ward Walk was extremely effective, the issues raised were addressed, when the Ward Councillors together with partners carried out a follow up Ward Walk in July 2022, there were not unresolved issues outstanding and the area was clean, tidy and well kept.
