Our rapidly polarizing society is driving us to live among people who think, look, and pray as we do. Increasingly, we struggle to find common purpose and connection with fellow Americans. Anger and division is replacing love and unity. How can people of faith respond? Join us for a discussion with Gary Mason, a pastor and peacemaker who has spent his life working in divided societies, including in his native northern Ireland as well as in Israel and Palestine.

About Gary Mason: Mason is a Methodist minister and holds a Ph.D. from the School of Psychology at the University of Ulster. He was also awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Florida Southern College for his role in peacebuilding in Ireland. Mason is a senior research fellow at the Kennedy Institute for Conflict Intervention at Maynooth University in Ireland and an adjunct professor at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. He is the founder of Rethinking Conflict, an organization devoted to building peace and reconciliation at the more fractured edges of society. Prior to founding that organization, Mason spent 28 years as a clergy person in Belfast and was involved in the Northern Irish Peace Process.
