It may be scary, but it’s the reality we’re living in, John:
Gerrymandered GOP majorities in state legislatures across the country are dismantling our democracy, and they’re using their power to crack down on everything from voting rights to abortion rights and more. If we don’t fight back, the consequences will only get more dire as time goes on.
The good news is the NDRC has been on the case for years now, and we’re working to defend our democracy this November. Here’s our 3-pronged plan to get the job done:
- SUPPORT PRO-DEMOCRACY CANDIDATES we’ve endorsed up and down the ballot who are committed to defending voting rights and ending GOP gerrymandering. So far, we’ve endorsed 14 candidates!
- PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS as some in the GOP ramp efforts to restrict access to the ballot.
- DEFEND OUR ELECTION INFRASTRUCTURE and stop election deniers from seizing control of election administration and polling places.
All of these efforts will be critical if we’re going to ensure the survival of our democracy for future generations. But it takes a lot of resources to do this kind of work across so many states, and we’re counting on support from donors like you to keep it up.
