Friends -
One of the very worst parts about running for president is the obscene amount of money it takes to win.
But as you know, I do not travel the country holding private fundraising events with billionaires and corporate executives. And I am sure not going to have a super PAC.
We have a single path to victory in this race, and that is from lots and lots of people contributing what they can afford. That is quite simply the only way we win.
So our campaign has set a mid-month fundraising deadline that ends tonight at midnight to ensure that we can keep pace with our opponents who collect big checks from the wealthy.
As you know, we are less than two months away from the first caucuses and primaries. And a lot of our opponents are counting on big money to win.
Our campaign is doing things differently.
How we do in Iowa, New Hampshire, and beyond will be decided by the number of people who are chipping in to fund this movement. Your support is critical to the success of our campaign, especially during these final weeks before voting begins.
That is why I need to ask:
I am incredibly grateful that we are in this movement together.
In solidarity,
Bernie Sanders
