We have two days left to get out the vote in the final BNC primaries of 2022, and here’s where things stand:
After defeating her multimillionaire, self-funding primary opponent by more than 56 points in 2020, BNC’s original representative AOC is running unopposed in Tuesday’s primary, so she’s been lending her support to fellow progressives who are facing tough reelections – like Jamaal Bowman.
Jamaal Bowman is standing tall despite a spate of racist attacks from two of his Democratic opponents. We know that Team Bowman is pulling out all the stops and they are rallying the community hard to turn out on Tuesday to send Jamaal back to Congress.
BNC’s Melanie D’Arrigo and Brittany Ramos DeBarros have teamed up to amplify their fundraising and GOTV efforts in the final weeks. Both are running against conservative Democrats heavily funded by corporate interests. Melanie is running for the open seat to represent Long Island, while Brittany is running against an insurrectionist to flip the seat representing Staten Island.
And down in Florida, BNC Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is in a tight reelection race against the opponent she defeated by only FIVE VOTES in the 2021 special election primary.
Any one of these races could come down to a handful of votes, that means every single voter we can contact in the next 48 hours will make a difference.
