Dear John, I'm sorry for the late email, but I just returned from a day in Murray County (400+ miles or six hours from Karlstad, more on that later). Here are some of the things I've been doing in the district this week during the August recess. We were called back to Washington, D.C., last Friday so the Democrats could force through their misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. Minnesota, once again, has eight representatives in the U.S. House with the swearing-in of my friend, Congressman Brad Finstad. He is a proven conservative and will deliver on our rural values in Congress. On his very first day, he joined me and my Republican colleagues in fighting the failed Biden-Pelosi agenda by voting NO on this ‘Inflation Expansion Act.’ It was a beautiful day in Kittson County for the Karlstad Moosefest parade. Then we enjoyed a delicious luncheon in Kennedy. I had a great time greeting and speaking with constituents during the day’s events. I’d like to give a special thank you to State Senator Mark Johnson and State Representative John Burkel for joining us! |
Given the looming changes proposed by the Biden administration, I've been speaking with farmers and agribusinesses across our district about the Federal Crop Insurance program. Here’s my message to Joe Biden: Don't fix what isn't broken. The government should not impose additional requirements and stipulations that will only burden our farmers. Crop insurance, in its present form, supports our local economy and businesses. I will continue to oppose proposals to tie crop insurance eligibility to new and burdensome regulations. John, America cannot afford to be run by the Left. This is why I ran for Congress—to stand up for our values and represent the 7th Congressional District. Any amount you contribute below will help us fight to protect our conservative values and personal liberties. |
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support! With gratitude, |
