John -- As the January 6 investigations have made clear, the threat to our democracy is grave, and it will require a systemic response to fight off future attacks.

That’s why I’m proud to announce that All On The Line is launching new initiatives to strengthen our democracy and safeguard our elections.

To give our efforts an extra boost, we’re aiming to reach a $50,000 goal before the end of the month. Can you make a contribution today? [[link removed]]

We’ve made significant progress on fair maps -- but that is just one piece of the puzzle as we strive toward a stronger, resilient democracy.

We know that if we don’t have free and fair elections, we can’t fully realize the impact of those fair maps. And that’s where our multi-pronged strategy comes into play. It looks like this:

We’re working to preserve and expand access to voting. As state legislatures try to curtail voting rights, we’re on the ground in communities to help protect and get out the vote. And in the courts, our affiliate is involved in two critical Supreme Court cases that have the potential to protect or threaten free and fair federal elections. Democracy is literally on the docket.

We are protecting election infrastructure. We know that some are actively recruiting election deniers to serve as poll workers, and we need to do everything we can to defend our democracy against this effort. Poll workers must share the same mission: to conduct free and fair elections, no matter the outcome. That’s why we are partnering with Power the Polls to support nonpartisan efforts to recruit more citizens to sign up to do their civic duty and give back to their communities.

We are going to the polls. We’ll be encouraging our vast grassroots network to engage in the 2022 election, by organizing and supporting citizens getting to the polls. We fought for and won fair maps in many places, now it’s time to have our voices heard at the ballot box.

In order to protect democracy, we have to do democracy.

This work is vital, and it will affect not only ourselves, but also our children and our children’s children. Democracy is fragile, and it cannot defend itself -- that’s where we need your help.

Chip in $15, $35, $50, or whatever makes sense for you, and help us strengthen American democracy in the upcoming midterms. [[link removed]]
