Team,
A few weeks ago, in our latest move to reduce gun violence, Governor Newsom signed a bill to hold gun manufacturers accountable – one I strongly supported.
A few weeks before that, the NRA referred to me as “evil.” I’m proud that the NRA thinks I’m evil – because I’m proud that we’re taking action to get guns out of the hands of those who mean harm. They want more guns on our streets, not fewer – and that’s bad for public safety.
But my opponent won’t say whether he supports legislation like the historic gun safety bill we passed this summer. He won’t say whether he supports any other gun safety expansion, either.
We can’t count on my Republican opponent to stand up to the NRA, or to take action in the fight against gun violence – and we can’t afford to have an Attorney General who won’t. Please, rush $5 to my campaign right now.
In recent days and months we’ve seen too many deadly mass shootings to count. Uvalde, Buffalo, Highland Park – gun violence has ripped apart families and devastated communities all across the country.
We need commonsense measures to put an end to the cycle of violence. But Republicans are more interested in catering to extremists like the NRA than in taking action.
I’m working to expand and stand up for gun safety measures that keep our communities safe, both here in California and across the country. But I need your support, and we need to show Republicans that our grassroots movement is ready to fight for this – will you pitch in $5 to help?
Thank you,
Rob Bonta
