Hi, it’s Marcus Flowers, Democrat and Army Veteran running for Congress against Marjorie Taylor Greene. 

The last few weeks and months have been very difficult for our country. 

In Uvalde, we were horrified at the scourge of gun violence that killed dozens of children. 

We were all devastated by the recent news that the Supreme Court had overturned abortion rights after 50 years of precedent.

And the January 6 hearings have shed new light on the violent insurrection that Republicans -- including Marjorie Taylor Greene -- tried to enact on our democracy. 

But we have reason to hope. Here’s why:

• Senators finally came together to pass a bipartisan gun violence prevention bill. It’s not enough, but it’s a start.
  
  
• Thousand of protestors are making their voices heard on abortion rights -- and if Democrats win enough seats, we can finally codify Roe into law.
  
  
• The January 6 committee is shedding new light on the Republicans who tried to overthrow our democracy. 

These reasons to hope are what drives me to run for Congress -- to do my part to DEFEAT Marjorie Taylor Greene, once and for all. 

I believe that we can accomplish so much more for the people of Georgia and our nation. 

I believe that Raphael Warnock will defeat Herschel Walker. 

I believe that Stacey Abrams will defeat Brian Kemp. 

I believe that our campaign will DEFEAT Marjorie Taylor Greene. 

And I believe that the future of Georgia is blue.
