I AM JUST GETTING IN TOUCH AFTER THE ELECTION TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL
YOUR WORK AND SUPPORT DURING OUR CAMPAIGN.
I KNOW YOU WILL BE AS DEVASTATED AS I AM BY THE RESULTS ACROSS OUR
COUNTRY.
I HAVE NO DOUBT BORIS JOHNSON WILL BE A TRULY DESTRUCTIVE PRIME
MINISTER AND WE WILL HAVE TO ORGANISE AFRESH TO CHALLENGE THE
CONSERVATIVE PARTY AND ALL THEY REPRESENT OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.
BUT FIRST, I WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE THE HUGE EFFORT
THAT WENT IN TO KEEP HARROW WEST RED. DESPITE A SLIGHT DROP IN OUR
VOTE WE BUCKED THE NATIONAL TREND AND I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE SOME
COMFORT FROM THE EXCELLENCE OF OUR RESULT LOCALLY. WE COULDN'T HAVE
GOT HERE WITHOUT EVERYONE'S CONTRIBUTION.
TO EVERYONE THAT KNOCKED ON A DOOR, PICKED UP A PHONE, DELIVERED A
LEAFLET, ENTERED DATA, STUFFED AN ENVELOPE, DONATED MONEY, OR
CONTRIBUTED TO THE CAMPAIGN IN ANY OTHER WAY, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR
PLAYING YOUR PART.
WE WILL MEET AGAIN IN THE NEW YEAR TO TALK THROUGH HOW THE CAMPAIGN
WENT AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT BUT FOR NOW LET ME WISH YOU A HAPPY
CHRISTMAS AND BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR.
