Team,

Late last month, Mark and a bipartisan group of Senators announced a breakthrough on legislation that would make our elections stronger.

It’s two bills, actually, that together take important steps to prevent candidates from stealing elections in the future. And we want the Senate to know how important this effort is to people in Virginia.

Sign Mark’s petition now — urge the Senate to protect our elections by passing the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act and the Enhanced Election Security and Protection Act.

Two years ago, we saw how fragile our federal elections can be if a single candidate and their supporters are willing to overturn the will of the people. We must prevent something like what we saw on January 6 from ever happening again.

The first bill clarifies how Congress is meant to certify and count electoral votes for President and Vice President. It also makes it harder for members of Congress to object to the counting of votes, and limits the ability of states to send fake slates of electors to Congress.

The second bill doubles the penalties for threatening or intimidating election officials, poll watchers, voters, or candidates.

Mark’s goal is to move on these pieces of legislation as quickly as possible to ensure they are in place for the 2024 election. Let’s show him that Virginia is with him and his colleagues on protecting our elections.

Sign Mark’s petition now in support of crucial efforts to prevent stolen elections.
