Adopt-A-Family is Almost Here!
Summer is winding down and hints of the soon-to-be holiday season are popping up in stores everywhere. This means that very soon, registration for the Holiday Adopt-A-Family program will be open!
Holiday Adopt-A-Family pairs eligible military and veteran families with volunteers to help ensure they have a wonderful holiday season. The volunteers "adopt" one or more families and provide gifts for the children and a grocery gift card for the family to put towards their holiday meal.
This year, we have adjusted the registration dates slightly, so mark your calendars accordingly! Registration for eligible military and veteran families interested in receiving support will open on Wednesday, September 7th. Registration for volunteers interested in supporting those families will not open until Wednesday, October 5th. This will allow our staff some time to ensure the first rounds of families are ready and waiting for volunteers to adopt.
If you are a military or veteran family interested in registering for support and meet the eligibility requirements below, we strongly recommend that you review the registration process now so you have plenty of time to gather the necessary documents to complete your registration. The earlier you register your family, the more time you will have to be paired with a volunteer who wants to support you!
Eligibility Requirements for Families:
Families of deployed service members registered for Soldiers' Angels Deployed Support, E1-E6, deployed through 12/25/22 and can demonstrate financial needFamilies of Post-911 wounded, ill, and injured service members and veteransVeteran families enrolled in the HUD/VASH program Information for FAMILIES [[link removed]] Information for VOLUNTEERS [[link removed]]

They left shocked at the amount and variety of food they received at the event and grateful for the needed support! Thank you to all sponsors and volunteers who continue to allow us to provide these invaluable distributions to veteran families in need.
