Folks, people often ask me about my journey and decision to run for U.S. Senate. It’s been one heck of a ride so far, so I wanted to share a few inflection points that help define it all:
May 25, 2001
The day I graduated from the Naval Academy. It was 109 days before 9/11, and it determined the course of my military career. I swore an oath to the Constitution on that day, and I take that oath seriously.
March 14, 2008
The day I graduated from TOPGUN. Graduating from the Navy’s prestigious Fighter Weapons School was a lifelong dream. It’s instilled in me those ideals of duty, honor, and loyalty, which I’ve carried throughout my career.
October 5, 2021
The day I launched my campaign for U.S. Senate in Louisiana. I couldn’t be more grateful to have overwhelming support from voters and local community members across our great state. It was clear to me that we could build a movement strong enough to take down Senator Kennedy.

Less than three months from now, Louisianans will face the most critical Election Day in decades. And it’s one of the toughest challenges I face.
