This week the Inflation Reduction Act officially became law.

This was not an easy fight, team. Michael stood firm through hours of cynical obstruction from Senate Republicans before he voted to pass this legislation that will make historic investments in fighting climate change, ensure the ~200 biggest corporations pay their fair share, and lower prescription drug and health care costs for seniors.

Our government can deliver for working families when we have Senators like Michael who listen to their constituents and take their values to the Senate floor. Now we’re one step closer to leading the fight against climate change and making sure our economy works for everyone, not just a few at the top.

Michael was motivated by stories from working Coloradans like Julia in Denver. Before the Inflation Reduction Act, Julia’s father paid $72,000 a year for the medication that he needs to keep his heart healthy. Now, seniors like him will have their out-of-pocket prescription costs capped at $2,000 a year.

Your feedback guides Michael and his work in Washington.
