Praise God for ensuring justice in a cross-border labor exploitation case this past quarter. Five perpetrators in the United Kingdom were sentenced to more than 5 years in prison for human trafficking. IJM collaborated with police and prosecution to ensure victim support and assistance during trial proceedings. Pray for the survivors’ journey toward restoration and empowerment.
Latin America
Praise the Lord for all the rescue operations over the years. Pray for IJM’s partnerships with local authorities to rescue individual victims of violence and restore survivors to safety and stability.
South Asia
Please pray for the health of our staff and their families. It’s rainy season in many parts of South Asia, so colds, flus, and other illnesses are much more common. Several of our staff and their families have fallen ill. Pray for quick healing and protection over everyone as we help protect vulnerable communities from violence! Please also pray for one of our faithful IJM drivers, who was recently diagnosed with cancer—for his treatment, recovery, and good spirits.
Asia Pacific
Pray for the successful launch of "The Fight of My Life: Finding Ruby" this month. This is co-produced by IJM Singapore and IJM OSEC Program in collaboration with Cadence Media. The podcast will allow Ruby’s story "to breathe," telling the full story of how she overcame the trauma of online sexual exploitation. An internal launch with IJM APAC teams will take place on August 18 followed by an external launch on August 25.
