Fellow Conservative

On Tuesday, President Biden signed the “Inflation Reduction Act” into law. He raised your taxes. He spent your money to fund his Green New Deal.
The true effect of this bill was probably best summarized by Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin—albeit inadvertently. When asked which specific part of the bill “would reduce inflation,” Raskin answered with, “Next question.”

Congress passed this bill on strictly partisan lines. You can use our scorecard to find your senators and representative and see how they voted:

Take time this week to call your Representative and Senators and share your feelings on their vote.

If they voted “NO”—thank them. And if they voted “YES”—let them know how you feel. Hold your members accountable!
Education Freedom Reigns in Arizona
On Wednesday, Heritage Action’s Nathan Duell was on-site for a ceremonial signing of Arizona’s new universal school choice law.

This is one of the most pro-parent, pro-student, education laws in the country. The law, sponsored by Rep. Ben Toma, creates universal school choice.

Families have the option of receiving $6,500 per student to pay for private school, homeschooling, microschools, tutoring, and more.
On Thursday, Heritage Action hosted hundreds of parents, community leaders, and activists for a parental rights symposium. <[link removed]>
Jessica Anderson and Janae Stracke led activists through an afternoon of hands-on training. Attendees learned how to run for school board, how to submit a FOIA request, and how to serve as election-day workers.

In the evening, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares shared what made America great and why schools need to teach. A notable quote—“A free society cannot remain free if an entire generation of young people have no idea what has made this country truly the last best hope on earth.”
Jonathan Isaacs also joined for the evening session. On the court, Jonathan is a leading defensive player in the NBA. Off the court, he’s a defender of his faith in Christ and individual liberty. Check out his new book: Why I Stand. <[link removed]>

Thank you to everyone who attended!
On Schools - Do This Today!
No matter where you are, here is one thing you can do TODAY to help improve schools! It will only take two minutes.

Please submit a public comment on Biden’s Title IX rule change. This rule redefines “sex” to force the Left’s radical “gender ideology” onto universities and all public K-12 schools.

This rule change makes our children less safe and teaches them to question their own gender and identity.

>>> Submit your Comment <[link removed]>

Public comments are due by September 12. Over 50,000 Americans have added their voice to oppose Biden’s new sex and gender rule. Over 10,000 comments—20 percent of the total submitted—have come from Heritage Action supporters.

Thank you. Now, let’s keep raising our voices!
