I met with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce to provide an update on my work in Congress to combat inflation, help businesses recover from closures and fix the supply chain crisis. Thank you to the National Community Renaissance, Hope Through Housing Foundation, OC Health Care Agency, City of Placentia, Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, and County Behavioral Health Directors Association for your tireless work on this project to house our vulnerable seniors. Congratulations to the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year Travis Lafond! Team Young was glad to recognize his incredible dedication and help welcome new coming members of the chamber. Team Young joined Super Senior Saturday in Buena Park to assist seniors with casework from federal agencies such as the IRS, Social Security and Medicare. I visited with Keno's Restaurant owner Steve Cooper to learn how PPP loans helped his Anaheim business during lockdowns and enjoy their famous fried chicken. I led the PPP Extension Act to give businesses more time to get vital relief to keep their doors open and staff on payroll. Learn More. I joined the Korean American Federation of Orange County to mark 77 years since Korea's liberation and independence from colonial occupation. As an immigrant from South Korea, I am so grateful for the countless Americans who sacrificed to fight for Korea’s freedom, and we honor them. I loved running into mom and small business owner Nikki Ware at Nikki's Kitchen in Yorba Linda. She’s living her lifelong dream to operate her own restaurant and create a welcoming space for our community to come together. Named after the Tay Ho District in Vietnam’s capital, Tay Ho restaurant in Chino Hills honors the tradition of authentic and delicious Vietnamese street food. Team Young was glad to help celebrate their grand opening and welcome them to our CA-39 community! Blue Scoop Creamery in Yorba Linda is a family-owned ice cream shop founded by Chris and Kim Rhodes. With temperatures in the 90s, I had to stop by and try their handcrafted malted chocolate crunch. Every Saturday morning, over 50 local high school students dedicate their time to tutoring younger kids who need an extra boost at school through Good Hands for One nonprofit. Team Young was honored to recognize their outstanding contributions to our CA-39 community!
