John, A former CIA Director [appointed by George W. Bush], 4-star General and National Security Director thinks today's Republican Party is the most dangerous force he has ever seen. Financial Times Associate Editor, Edward Luce started this line of thought on Twitter, and General Michael Hayden responded. Here is how their exchange went, with Luce going first: “I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous and contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close.” This was jaw dropping enough. But then General Hayden Retweeted him: “I agree,” Hayden wrote in response to the tweet. “And I was the CIA Director.” This, was so shocking, I made a video about it at my Youtube Channel, The Takedown w Cliff Schecter, where I skewer Republcican corruption, extremism and attacks on our democracy on a daily basis. Because Americans need to know what we're experiencing, and what experts in extremism, authoritariansm, and yes, fascism, are saying about today's Republican Party.
