I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I’m officially filed to run for re-election again in 2020! On the other hand, I’ll first face a primary opponent in March.

This isn’t just any primary opponent either. In 2016, the same year that Donald Trump was elected, my opponent voted in the Republican primary. Now he is running as a Democrat.

As our nation faces one of the most tenuous times in our history, Texans need someone in Washington who will stand up for OUR values. 

Many have you have been by my side since I first ran for Congress in 2012 - some of you have even been with me since I was a member of the Texas House of Representatives. Together we have fought voter suppression and protected workers’ rights. We've helped millions of Americans gain acccess to a doctor when they are sick and now we're fighting hard to lower prescription drug prices for everyone.
