John,
As we continue to campaign through the Summer, we are noticing a shift in the attitudes amongst voters in our community.
After attacks on reproductive choice, renewed threats to raise taxes on middle-class families, and possibly cut Social Security and Medicare, Democrats -- and even many independents -- are seeing the Republican agenda for what it is. Meanwhile, Democrats have passed landmark legislation to reduce inflation, cut prescription drug prices, and fight climate change.
The contrast is clear, and our job over the next two months is to make sure our community knows there's an alternative to the GOP's chaos.
One of the joys of the campaign has been visiting residents from all walks of life. CA-45 is incredibly diverse, and it's inspiring to know that we all ultimately want the same things: healthy, safe communities to live in, opportunities to grow and thrive, quality education for our kids, and the comfort of knowing that our future is secure.
As always, I can’t thank you enough for your support. I hope you enjoy these pictures from the past week on the campaign trail.

I caught one of Fullerton’s Summer Concerts in the Park. I enjoy every opportunity to listen and learn what our community needs most, but Motown really does add something special. Come on out this Friday for the last night of the series!

My son Carver and I visited Lien Hoa Temple for the Vu Lan festival. It was a pleasure to see Abbot Thich Chon Thanh again and observe the holiday with the community.

I was pleased to visit the Sanatan Dharma Temple in honor of Indian Independence Day. I was very impressed to learn that they serve hundreds of meals at this location daily. What a remarkable act of service!

It’s back to school time! I spent a morning as a guest of the Rotary Club of Placentia putting together backpacks for the new school year. I appreciate everything the Placentia Rotary is doing for the community.

It turns out that some of my biggest supporters are our four-legged friends! 🐾

It’s no secret that our race is getting increasingly more competitive by the day, and running a campaign in a district as large and diverse as ours can get expensive.
I’m proud to be fueled by the people. Our campaign is powered by an actual grassroots operation on the ground every day of the week. If you can, help keep our outreach program going by chipping in a donation of $3 today.
