Every election year, we all hear quite a bit of talk from politicians about how they’re not afraid to make tough decisions and do the right thing.

Well, I can promise you that when I say that I know all about tough decisions, I mean it.

I first got to Congress by rejecting corporate PAC money and running a campaign powered by grassroots supporters like you – and that’s how we’ll win again in November. If you could help my campaign out by chipping in a few bucks today, if you’re able, I’d be so grateful.

During my first campaign, establishment politicians and political pundits thought I was crazy for taking the no corporate PAC pledge. They said that I’d basically already lost the election. But John, I’ll be forever proud that our tough decision paid off and that we proved the doubters wrong.

Let’s be clear: Our opponent is being supported by some deeply partisan special interest groups and establishment dark money backers.

Part of the reason I’ve been able to make so many tough calls with such a clear moral compass is that I’m beholden to no one but the people. Ultimately, our opponent just can’t say the same thing.

Bottom line, we can’t allow that kind of influence to control ME-02’s representative. We’ve seen what happens when it does in other districts. The end result is just more broken politics and business-as-usual. That’s why I’m working in Congress to ban corporate PAC money.
