URGENT UPDATE
This will be the last weekend to hold signature collection drives ahead of Wednesday's 5 p.m. deadline. To find a location and time near you, visit www.FairAndSecureMA.com
Friend,

You may have heard via several news reports that we've cleared the signature threshold in our quest to allow voters to decide whether illegal immigrants should be entitled to a Massachusetts driver's licenses.

I'd like to respectfully ask everyone who has joined us in our efforts to please ignore those reports.

Nothing will be final until the Massachusetts Secretary of State's office verifies our totals, and one only needs to look at what happened this week in Los Angeles to understand that sitting back and waiting for Wednesday's deadline to arrive is the worst possible thing we can do.

Think back to Super Bowl LI in 2017. The Atlanta Falcons carried a 28-3 lead over the New England Patriots halfway through the third quarter.

We all know what happened next.

Remember, to find a signature drive location near you this weekend go to www.fairandsecurema.com, and be sure to email JM@MassGOP to submit any questions or request any last-minute signature forms.

With that said, I'd like to highlight some of the great work being done in the field by some of our volunteer teams.

These teams are showing no signs of letting up.
In Billerica, a team led by Republican State Committeeman Anthony Ventresca and local state Rep. Marc Lombardo has established itself as the top signature collection location in the entire state of Massachusetts.

Billerica volunteers have done a tremendous amount of work. They've been collecting signatures every day since our drive began in early July, and they'll be out again this weekend.

Meanwhile, Acton Republicans Dotti Bisson and Dave Lunger transferred their efforts from Hudson to Patriot Place in Foxboro. When we last checked in with them at the end of July, their team had secured more than 5,000 signatures.

Their visit to Patriot Place saw them secure another 2,000 more.
Lastly, a Cape Cod-based team led in part by Republican state representative candidate William Peters along with volunteer Sean O'Toole has been instrumental in spreading the word and creating a buzz around signature collection events.

This month, Peters and O'Toole organized back-to-back events in Yarmouth hosted by Boston Herald columnist and WRKO AM-680 radio personality Howie Carr. Howie recorded his shows live at Scally's Irish Ale House while listeners and patrons were able to sign forms.
Heading into our final weekend, I cannot stress enough my appreciation for the work everyone involved in this effort has done.

In case you missed our press release yesterday, we think it's clear that the last thing Democrats want to do this fall is have to hit the campaign trail and explain their support for rewarding those who broke the law to enter this country with a driver's license, and have to explain why these same Democrats blocked every single Republican-backed amendment to ensure that non-citizens will not be voting in our elections.

We are nearing the end of this historic campaign, and I want to ask everyone to maintain that same sense of urgency that has taken us this far.

Thank you!

Yours,
Jim
