As of now, student loan payments are set to resume at the end of this month.

That means millions of Americans -- disproportionately the working class, people of color, and poor people -- are looking at their monthly budgets, wondering how they're going to make ends meet if they have to start these monthly payments up again.

I'm still pushing President Biden to cancel $50,000 in student loan debt per person -- and we're getting down to the wire. Canceling student debt is one of the most important things we can do to close the racial wealth gap, so President Biden must take action immediately. Sign my petition if you're with me.

With sky-high tuition fees and predatory loan practices, obtaining a university degree isn't something you should spend the rest of your life paying back. Getting an education shouldn't prevent you from achieving your long-term financial goals. Maybe you dream of owning your own home or starting a business. Now imagine you had $50,000 of your student loan debt forgiven -- think how much closer those goals would feel.
