legislature.

Anti-choice candidates are pledging to ban all abortion from the moment
of conception, and without the protections of Roe v. Wade, there will be
nothing to stop them.

Big Lie election deniers who tried to help Trump overturn the 2020
election are now running for the offices that are in charge of our
elections, how votes are counted, and declaring who won.

Defending American democracy in times like this requires journalism with
the courage to side with democracy against authoritarianism. That's
why Common Dreams is so essential in this moment.
