Our first full fundraising quarter of the general election is more than halfway over, so we wanted to send you an honest update about where we stand before asking for your financial support.

At the end of this quarter, we have an official FEC deadline, and when this deadline ends, we are required to publicly report our fundraising numbers. We’ll do it no matter the results.

The truth is everyone will be watching for our numbers — especially the Republican super PACs trying to buy this seat. If they see us falter, they could rush in even more dark money to try to quickly drown us out.

Truthfully, we’re significantly short of where we’d hoped to be at this point in the quarter. There’s still time to reach our goal, but we need a lot of people to chip in to put us back on track.

So we are humbly asking:
