Friend,
7 years ago, on this date, 20 children and 6 adults were viciously killed when a gunman opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary School.
As a parent myself, I can’t even begin to imagine what the parents and families of the victims went through on this dark day in our nation’s history, and in the months and years since.
In Congress, I’ve been working on common-sense gun safety reforms that will keep our children safe. Earlier this year, I worked across the aisle to pass bills that would strengthen background checks and prevent domestic abusers from getting guns.
I promise you, I won’t stop working until our gun laws protect our schools, houses of worship, and all places of peace.
Sincerely,
Susan Wild
