Team –

The most rewarding thing about this campaign has been meeting countless people all across our city. I’ve traveled many miles over the last couple of months, connecting face-to-face with Angelenos from all walks of life.

Many of these conversations shared a similar theme – people believe we need to move this city FORWARD . We need a mayor who will take decisive and bold action to tackle climate change, the homelessness crisis, and a stagnant economy.

I want to keep you updated on what I’ve been doing and where I’ve been. But, before I do that, I want to ask you to solidify your support for my campaign. We have the vision, the energy, and the skills to help Los Angeles reach its potential, but I need your help. Please consider contributing to our movement today: [link removed]

I’ve received endorsements over the past couple of months that I’m very proud to share with you all.

That list consists of national leaders including President Joe Biden & Vice President Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Dolores Huerta, and local leaders like U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, Rep. Tony Cárdenas, L.A. City Council President Nury Martinez, and Assemblymember Luz Rivas. I’ve also been endorsed by the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) Action Fund, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, and the LA County Federation of Labor.

I’ve also had the privilege and pleasure of visiting several small businesses in L.A. At Sirens Java and Tea in San Pedro, we spoke about protecting small businesses and ending homelessness. Eso Won Books, one of the premier Black-owned bookstores in L.A., announced that it would close at the end of the year. That hit us hard, so I brought more than 50 community members to show support for this staple of the community.

Just last week, I took part in the 1st Annual Nikkei Celebration in Boyle Heights, honoring Japanese American culture and history in L.A. I also found the time to enjoy some delicious tacos at the 13th Annual Boyle Heights Taco Festival!

From Northridge to Highland Park, from San Pedro to Mar Vista – the people of Los Angeles have been showing love for their city, sharing their stories with me, and their visions for the future of L.A.

Together, we are building a winning coalition to end homelessness, increase public safety, and make this city more affordable.

If you can, will you support our campaign and help me defeat the billionaire real estate mogul who thinks he can buy our city? Chip in $5, or whatever you can, to invest in our movement and a brighter future for Los Angeles. » [link removed]

This race is about the people – teachers, health care workers, students, seniors, carpenters, business owners. I’m fired up and ready to fight for our future, and I hope you’ll join me!

Thank you,

Karen
