I'm not surprised, John.
Kevin McCarthy and the Republican Party are actively rooting against working families.
On Tuesday, Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law. This bill helps lower the cost of prescription drugs and health insurance. It also cuts the national deficit and invests in clean energy to curb the effects of climate change -- all while tackling inflation head-on.
From day one, McCarthy used inflation as a core issue for his reelection campaign. He’s been shouting from podiums for months claiming he’ll “hold our government accountable” to address rising inflation if he becomes Speaker of the House.
Now that inflation is actually being addressed, Kevin McCarthy is calling this bill “misguided” and “tone deaf.”
Let me be clear: McCarthy and Republicans voted to keep costs high and prevent us from lowering the national debt.
The Central Valley and High Desert need a real advocate who’ll work across party lines to solve the big issues affecting working families. I’m running against Kevin McCarthy to be that advocate. Will you chip in $5 to help me DEFEAT him in November?

When gas prices were at an all-time high in the spring, McCarthy and his far-right allies took every opportunity to slam Democrats for not doing enough to address the pain at the pump. Now that prices are sliding back down, they’re dead silent.
The Central Valley and High Desert are finally waking up to the fact that McCarthy no longer has our best interests in mind. In fact, McCarthy voted against a bill that would have invested $55 billion in water infrastructure in California. It’s truly mind-boggling, John.
We can’t waste any more time waiting on McCarthy to fight for us. We need to elect someone with local roots who understands the issues our communities are facing. I’m that person. So please, chip in whatever you can to support my campaign today.
Thanks in advance for your support,
