Abortion-Loving City of Dallas Plays Politics, Supports Death

On August 10, the Dallas City Council overwhelmingly voted on a resolution to ban law enforcement from protecting babies from abortion, choosing death over life, not enforcing the law and in opposition to state law.

Jonathan Covey, Director of Policy for Texas Values, testified before the City Council, reminding members that abortion is illegal in Texas under the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs and HB 1280, the Human Life Protection Act, passed by the Texas State Legislature.

ACTION ALERT!
Moses and “In God We Trust” ‘Out
LGBT, CRT ‘In’ for New TX School Standards

The elected Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) met August 1, for a special meeting to discuss Social Studies & History standards and what effectively will be taught to all K-12 students in Texas public schools.

However, before the SBOE approves these teaching standards, unelected “workgroup members” make recommendations of what should stay “in” and what should be taken “out.”

LGBT and leftist ideology and political opinions, including Critical Race Theory (CRT), are added to the Social Studies & History standards. If we don’t do something, these radical standards will stay!!

Watch Texas Values President, Jonathan Saenz and Senior Policy Advisor, Mary Elizabeth Castle take the podium to testify regarding proposed content standards on our YouTube Channel.

The SBOE will be taking their first vote on the standards during August 30 – September 2. Their final vote on the Social Studies TEKS will be taken November 15.
