John, if my childhood taught me one thing, it's to never stop fighting for the people and communities you love.

It will be the honor of a lifetime to take my fighting spirit to Congress, where I’ll never stop fighting for you and your family. But I can’t get there alone.

As we gear up to enter the general election next week, will you stand with me in the fight to flip this seat blue and send a pro-choice, pro-climate, pro-democracy leader to Congress to represent FL-27?

John,

With fewer than three months to go until Election Day, I wanted to take a moment to explain a little bit about who I am and why I’m in this fight. But first, if you already know you’re with me and prepared to flip FL-27 blue, will you take a minute to chip in to our campaign?

John, my father was my hero. He was an American fighter pilot in World War II, and he believed there was no limit to what we can accomplish with some grit and determination.

I get my fighting spirit from him.

My fighting spirit began as a child with a cleft lip – having to receive 19 surgeries just to be able to smile.

And after my father was kidnapped by a Marxist terrorist group, I fought my way out of an unstable Colombia and to the United States. I fought my way through college in Alabama, waiting tables on the side just to pay the bills. And I fought my way to the Florida state senate, and became the first Latina Democrat ever elected.

I fought for the American Dream, John. I never gave up hope that a better life and better world were possible. And now, I’m prepared to fight for you and your family in the halls of Congress.

I will fight to support our local businesses and expand economic opportunity for everyone in South Florida. I will fight to ensure that every child has access to a quality education. And I will fight, tirelessly, to ensure that every woman has the right to control her own body.

And I am confident that I will get it done. Because above all, my background has prepared me to never give up.

John, I am more prepared than ever to bring my tenacity and big dreams to Congress, but I can’t get there alone. I need your help. Please, will you chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can to our campaign to help flip FL-27 blue in November?
