Jones continued to keep track of the COVID numbers on her own as a dedicated data scientist, so DeSantis used the pretext of her having accessed a state communications system "illegally" to raid her home, point a gun at her and her children and confiscate her hardware, threatening to prosecute her. Because this is all that small, insecure men like DeSantis and Gaetz know how to do, threaten and bully. 

But it didn't work with Jones, as it usually doesn't with heroes. She kept tracking COVID, and got involved in "Florida Covid Action" offering Floridians information about free testing options and COVID Monitor, focussing on keeping kids healthy and COVID-free in Florida Schools.

Now she is running against the alleged underage sex trafficker, Matt Gaetz, for Congress. He tried to get her kicked off the ballot on a technicality, but a higher Court just overturned the lower Court's decision, and she's on the ballot as a Democrat. She is where she is because she cared about Flordians' health care enough to try and use data to fight DeSantis' easing of restrictions, a disaster that ended up unnecessarily killing an untold number of Floridians. And she cared enough about kids being safe in school to risk arrest. 

Now, she cares enough about our health and our kids to take on Gaetz, the alleged underage sex trafficker, and with the blue wave that is developing, her name recognition and the this cloud hanging over Gaetz--the chance he may even be indicted soon--she has an incredible chance to win this seat!!
