The New York Times recently broke a story detailing how Republicans are attempting to weaponize Treasurer’s offices around the country to block climate action.

With the help of the right-wing think tank, The Heritage Foundation, Conservatives are taking yet another dangerous step to try and block environmental progress, both locally and nationally. 

“The foundation began pushing Republican state treasurers, who are mostly elected officials and who are responsible for managing their state’s finances, to use their power to promote oil and gas interests and to stymie Mr. Biden’s climate agenda, records show”

We cannot let Republicans pull off this stunt here in Colorado. We are in a tight race against a well-funded opponent. We need your help to ensure Colorado stays on the right track and that we continue to elect Democrats who will fight for our climate. 

Colorado is known for its natural beauty, and it is critical we do everything we can to protect it.  As State Treasurer, I have not and will never use the office to attack companies who invest in protecting our planet.
