Earlier this year, we asked Latinx voters if they planned to vote in the upcoming 2022 midterms, and we’ll be honest, the results we saw worried us:

Only 63% of Latinos who voted in 2020 said they intended to vote in November, and even worse, only 51% of those same voters between ages 18-29 planned to vote – that’s millions of young voters whose voices won’t be heard during the midterms!

The outcome of the 2022 election cycles will absolutely depend on turning out young voters, and there is no greater opportunity to turnout young voters than in battleground states and in the Latinx community.

Latinx voters represent an increasing share of “swing” voters, meaning that Latinx voters could literally decide the outcome of countless races in battleground states.

We know young Latinx voters overwhelmingly vote Democrat, so it is absolutely essential that we work harder than ever to register and turn out these voters.

We don’t have to tell you that this election cycle is more important than ever before – with reproductive freedoms, LGBTQ+ rights, and our very democracy at stake – Democrats must keep control of the House and Senate.
