This past week, Sean Casten and Nancy Pelosi passed Joe Biden’s ‘Inflation and Recession Act,’ which inflicts higher taxes on small businesses, adds 87,000 more IRS agents and will increase inflation especially on health care and drug prices. This bill will hurt Americans while we are in a recession.
This Casten-Pelosi-Biden “Don’t Say Inflation Act” will hurt the American people. It will not reduce inflation, the budget deficit or the world's temperature. Far from ‘looking out for the little guy,’ the bill is replete with socialist boondoggles and corporate welfare.
Sean Casten’s vote was a cruel one. Families are skipping meals, delaying retirement, and eating up their credit lines just to pay for daily essentials, yet Sean Casten just raised taxes on them. Inflation is not 0%. Food is up 12.9% this past year, while gas prices are up over 50% since Joe Biden took office.
Casten voted to raise taxes on small businesses so he could protect federally subsidized corporations (like his own businesses). He unleashes 87,000 new IRS agents on American taxpayers, targeting families, farmers, and small businesses. Under this bill, nearly a quarter of a trillion dollars in Green New Deal subsidies go to the wealthy and to companies just like the one Sean Casten and his father own. Sean clearly loves the privileged in this country, but despises those who are struggling to run their business and feed their families.
Sean Casten and Joe Biden drove the economy into a recession with the highest inflation in four decades. Your family and business are paying the price for their policies.
As Mayor of Orland Park, I stand with families and businesses. We reduced spending, debt and taxes. Unlike Sean Casten, I work to protect people who are trying to build their lives and businesses here, rather than the special interests who fund political campaigns. I am going to Congress to do the same.

Press Release: Kim Foxx Continues Making Cook County Unsafe
“I want to thank the police for their quick and skilled response. This was a situation that could have easily escalated and ended in tragedy. But once again, a violent criminal caught in the act by police is back out on the street on a low bond from Kim Foxx’s office. This practice undoes all the work police officers did in this dangerous situation, and makes our streets less safe.
“Under my leadership, the Orland Park Village Board called for Kim Foxx’s resignation. I am renewing that demand today. Kim Foxx needs to resign. And Sean Casten needs to stop looking the other way. This happened in his district and this isn’t leadership. He co-sponsored the George Floyd Act that would have made Kim Foxx’s governance the model for the nation. He needs to put politics aside and disavow Foxx and the ideology that has led to out of control crime. He needs to stop protecting Kim Foxx and call for her resignation. Cook County families and businesses should be able to expect their government – at a minimum – to provide public safety.”

Casten Pushes White House Spin about Inflation
Sean Casten pushes a lot of far-left talking points on his Twitter feed. This week, he was hard at work pushing Joe Biden’s spin about inflation being at 0%:
From Keith: Sean Casten's platform: “Don't believe your own eyes: Inflation is zero. There is no recession. Gas prices are down. And crime isn't a problem.”
I don't know whether to be insulted or to laugh. Inflation is 8.5 percent as announced yesterday. But Casten's leader Joe Biden says it's at zero. Then why vote YES on the so-called inflation reduction bill? Because Sean Casten’s goal is not inflation reduction, it’s to create hundreds of billions in give aways to the green industry, tax you, tax small businesses and add 87,000 MORE IRS agents (currently there are 78,000) to go after you and those small businesses

Well that didn’t take long. Only a day after the Democratic House passed their half-trillion tax increase, Rep. Richard Neal of Massachusetts, the chairman of the tax-writing Ways & Means Committee spilled the beans. He told Bloomberg News he would seek to raise both corporate and individual income tax rates should Democrats keep the House.
Kudos to Mr. Neal for his honesty in letting voters know what they are getting if Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats retain their majority and their extend reign of tax ‘n spend terror.
