Sept. 1st BVRC Luncheon

Hello BVRC,

Hope ya’ll are having great summer and keeping cool. Our club luncheons start back up on Sept. 1st. Our speaker will be the new RPT Vice Chair, Dana Myers.

Dr Dana Myers was elected by the delegates at the Texas State Republican Convention in June to be the new Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.

Through her proven leadership, Dr. Myers reorganized, streamlined, and increased transparency in the Harris County Republican party infrastructure during her first tenure as Vice-Chair while supporting and recruiting additional grassroots volunteers. During this time, Dr. Myers also served as the Regional Director of the Republican Party of Texas (RPT)/Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) Voter Engagement Project effort to recruit volunteers from Harris and the seven surrounding counties to register new Republican voters.

Dr. Dana Myers is a Medical Business Consultant for the health law firm Spiers Group. Dr. Myers received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Myers was an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery and taught many surgery residents, medical students, and visiting medical and military medical personnel in the Texas Medical Center.

Dr. Myers is a two-term Vice-Chair of the Harris County Republican Party, VP Membership for the Texas Federation of Republican Women Executive Board (TFRW), Past Regional Director for the Republican Party of Texas/TFRW Strike Force for Harris and the surrounding counties, Past HCRP Co-Chair of Engagement, Past RPT Communications Task Force member, and two-term President of Magic Circle Republican Women’s Club in Houston.

Dr. Myers is married to Dr. Jon Spiers, a former Republican General Land Office Candidate, and is a longtime resident of Houston, Texas.

Please RSVP by August 24. With your RSVP, please let us know if you plan to purchase a lunch or not. There is no charge if you do not eat. We just need to know how much food to order with the Hilton. We usually have space for additional RSVP’s after the deadline, but no guarantees on space or food after the deadline.

This event is free for any Republican to attend. All Republicans are welcome. The cost for lunch is $21 for members, $24 for non-members.

The annual BVRC membership is $25 per person or $40 per couple.
We have membership forms at the luncheons. We can also email the membership form to those that need one.
