Within hours of news breaking about the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago, our Trump-endorsed opponent Ted Budd went to the mat for Donald Trump, tweeting this from his official Congressional account:

Reporting now indicates that the former president had 11 different sets of highly classified documents, including some labeled “top secret.”

Instead of supporting the FBI and allowing law enforcement to do their job, Ted Budd threw them under the bus and rushed to Donald Trump’s side.

Just like when he voted to overturn the 2020 election and called Capitol rioters “patriots,” he continues to show that he is too extreme to be North Carolina’s next senator and will always put himself before the people of this state.

We need Cheri Beasley. As a former public defender and Chief Justice, she deeply understands that nobody is above the law, and she will fight tirelessly to uphold our Constitution — just like she always has.
