The suffrage movement was a long, hard-fought struggle that our great grandmothers put their lives on the line for. They fought for years—for rights that are now written into our constitution and protected by our federal government.
Just as our great grandmothers fought for the right to vote, our mothers and grandmothers fought for the right to body autonomy. And still today, generations of women across our country fight for the continued equality that they deserve. Our daughters should not have to be among them.
We need to act now to codify abortion rights at the federal level. Our wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters need our elected officials to step up to the plate and take action.
The first step towards change is electing pro-women candidates in November, at every level. Todd Young has proven time and time again that his loyalty is only to the GOP and will not vote in favor of women, or to codify abortion rights. I will. You have my word.
John – can you spare $100, $50, $25, or $10 to support a pro-women, pro-choice candidate for U.S. Senate?
