For over two years, bureaucrats and politicians rejected science in favor of controlling us with mask mandates and lockdowns.

Finally, just when we thought we could return to normal, one county in the Commonwealth has seen fit to hold out against common sense.

Jefferson County Public Schools announced anyone entering a school building, including all children, must wear a mask…

This is absurd; it’s far past time to stop the fear-mongering, stop the virtue signaling, and stop harming our children.

Study after study has demonstrated why mask mandates in schools are terrible.

Masks inhibit children’s ability to learn, create an undue burden for our teachers, and are a blight on our personal freedoms - we have to stop this here and now.

If we allow this to continue, the Beshear administration will feel empowered to continue their unconstitutional authoritarian power grab over all the citizens in this commonwealth.

As Attorney General, I am doing everything in my power to end this mandate for our schools.

We don’t need mandates; we need to empower parents to make rational, common-sense decisions based on what is best for themselves and their families.
