Today is the final day we can raise funds to pay to put our ad on TV, and my team just told me we're about $11,634 away from our $45,000 goal to keep it on the air. Letting people know the ways we've been able to deliver for NY-16 is crucial right now, and keeping this advertisement on TV is the most effective way we can reach out to voters, so meeting this goal is vitally important.
This term in Congress has seen some surprisingly monumental legislation, John. We just passed the largest investment to fight climate change in history. We've tackled gun restrictions, reformed the postal service, and gotten our veterans the benefits they deserve.
This was only possible because of pressure from the progressive wing of the Democratic party pushing complacent conservatives to take action. Our conservative opponents want to return power to moneyed interests and the establishment, and we have to defeat them to continue making progress.
