*LANSING, Mich. ?* Today, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the following appointments to the Manufactured Housing Commission, Michigan Residential Builders and Maintenance & Alteration Contractors Board, Commission on Services to the Aging, Michigan Board of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan Wildlife Council, Education Commission of the States, and the State Land Bank Authority.?

*Manufactured Housing Commission*?

Martin Boisture, of Grand Blanc, is the president of Spartans Properties. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Bowling Green State University. Mr. Boisture is appointed to represent licensed mobile home dealers for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025. He succeeds Michael Chosid whose term expired May 9, 2022.??

Domonique D. Clemons, of Flint, is the county commissioner for Genesee County?s 4th District and the director of government affairs for the Flint and Genesee Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Michigan State University and a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management from The George Washington University. Mr. Clemons is appointed to represent an elected official of local government for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025. He succeeds Andy Schor whose term expired May 9, 2022.??

Veronica D?Hondt, of Lake Orion, is the vice president of operations for YES Communities. She has over 30 years of experience in the manufactured housing industry. Mrs. D?Hondt is reappointed to represent operators of a licensed manufactured housing park for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025.??

Daniel Grant, of Dearborn, is the the vice president of sales and business development for Skyline Champion Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from West Point United States Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Grant is reappointed to represent manufacturers of mobile homes for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025.??

Jennifer M. Letourneau, of Midland, is a custom frame designer and customer service manager for Michaels. Ms. Letourneau is appointed to represent residents of manufactured housing parks for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025. She succeeds Alicia Dashevskiy whose term expired May 9, 2022.??

Kimberly A. Scott, of Howell, is the senior vice president of acquisitions and transition for Cambio Communities. She is a member of the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association. Ms. Scott is appointed to represent operators of licensed manufactured housing park for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring May 9, 2025. She succeeds Margaret Burns whose term expired May 9, 2022.??

The Manufactured Housing Commission is responsible for establishing uniform policy relating to all phases of manufactured housing, business, manufactured housing parks, and seasonal manufactured housing parks. The Commission has the legal authority to approve local governmental ordinances which would regulate manufactured housing, grant variances to the Manufactured Housing Commission Rules, approve licenses for manufactured home installer/servicers and retailers, and impose penalties on persons who have violated the Mobile Home Commission Act or Rules.?

Aleemullah Khan, of Troy, is the president of Blackstone Corporation. He has 34 years of experience in the construction industry and provides his construction services to local churches and mosques. Mr. Khan is appointed to represent licensed residential builders for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring March 31, 2026. He succeeds Nathan Demers whose term expired March 31, 2022.??

The Michigan Residential Builders and Maintenance & Alteration Contractors Board was created to license and regulate persons engaged in the construction of a residential structure or combination residential and commercial structure, or persons who undertake the repair, alteration, addition, subtraction or improvement of a residential structure or combination residential and commercial structure for compensation other than wages for personal labor.?

Jimmy Bruce, of Escanaba, is a member of the Michigan AARP Executive Council and a retired consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Physical Education, Political Science, & Biology from Northern Michigan University. Mr. Bruce is appointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2025. He succeeds Marshall Greenhut whose term expired July 28, 2022.??

William F. Bupp, a Democrat of DeWitt, is a retired public school teacher, principal, and coach and former human resources specialist and education services management consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Journalism from Central Michigan University. Mr. Bupp is reappointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2025.??

Jennifer D. Lepard, a Democrat of Royal Oak, is the president and chief executive officer of the Michigan Alzheimer's Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Government from the University of Maryland and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. Ms. Lepard is appointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2025. She succeeds Georgia Crawford-Campbell whose term expired July 28, 2022.??

Guillermo Z. Lopez, a Democrat of Lansing, is retired from City of Lansing Human Relations & Community Services Department. He serves as a trustee with the Lansing Schools Board of Education and as president of the Latino Leaders for the Advancement of Advocacy and Development Lansing Chapter. Mr. Lopez is reappointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2025.??

Cassie Lopez-Jeng, Ph.D., an Independent of Portage, is an assistant professor for Western Michigan University in the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Education and Communication and a Ph.D. in Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences from Tulane University. Dr. Lopez-Jeng is appointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2024. She succeeds Euphemia ?Sue? Franklin who resigned.??

Robert C. Schlueter, an Independent of Leland, is the former executive director for Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Behavioral Sciences, Religion, and Philosophy from Grand Valley State University.? Mr. Schlueter is reappointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 28, 2025. The Governor has designation Mr. Schlueter to serve as Chair of the Commission.??

The Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA), a 15-member body appointed by the Governor, advises the Governor and Legislature on coordination and administration of state programs, changes in federal and state programs, and the nature and magnitude of aging priorities. The Commission also reviews and approves grants made by the Aging & Adult Services Agency (AASA) and participates in development of the state plan and budget as required by the federal Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended. Commission meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.?

Deborah Venise Smith, of East Lansing, is recently retired from Michigan State University where she serves as a consultant for multicultural issues for support staff. Ms. Venise Smith is appointed to represent the general public for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring December 31, 2025. She succeeds Jordan Kennedy whose term expired December 31, 2021.??

The Michigan Board of Veterinary Medicine works with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to oversee the practice of veterinary medicine and ascertain minimal entry level competency of health practitioners. The Public Health Code mandates certain responsibilities and duties for a health professional licensing board. Underlying all duties is the responsibility of the Board to promote and protect the public's health, safety, and welfare.??????

Nick Buggia, of Adrian, is the Upper Midwestern State's manager for the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saginaw Valley State University. Mr. Buggia is appointed to represent individuals who have purchased hunting or fishing licenses in this state on a regular basis for a term commencing August 22, 2022, and expiring March 31, 2026. He succeeds Henry Stancato whose term expired March 31, 2021.?

Beth Gruden, of Perrinton, is the owner and operator of Bluewing Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Michigan State University. Mrs. Gruden is reappointed to represent agricultural producers in this state for a term commencing August 22, 2022, and expiring March 31, 2026.??

T. Elliot Shafer, of Grosse Pointe Woods, is the vice president of Huntington Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance from Wayne State University. Mr. Shafer is reappointed to represent an individual with a media or marketing background, who is not an employee of the department, for a term commencing August 22, 2022, and expiring March 31, 2026.??

Sarah L. Topp, of Wallace, is the UP stream restoration manager for Trout Unlimited. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Michigan University. Miss Topp is appointed to represent rural areas of the state whose economies are substantially impacted by hunting and fishing for a term commencing August 22, 2022, and expiring March 31, 2025. She succeeds Nick Buggia whose term expired March 31, 2022.??

The Michigan Wildlife Council was created to educate about the importance of wildlife conservation and the role of hunters and anglers in preserving Michigan's great outdoor heritage for future generations.?

Kamilia Landrum, of Redford, is the executive director of the Detroit Branch NAACP. She holds a Master of Public Adminsitration from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. Ms. Landrum is appointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022 and expiring at the pleasure of the governor.??

Stephanie M. O?Dea, of Greenville, is the K-12 education policy advisor for the Executive Office of the Governor. She holds a Master of Public Adminsitration in in Educational Administration from University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Spring Arbor University. Ms. O?Dea is designated as the governor?s proxy for a term commencing August 18, 2022 and expiring at the pleasure of the governor.??

Michael F. Rice, Ph.D., of Kalamazoo, is the superintendent of public instruction for the State of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. and Master of Public Administration from New York University, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yale University. Dr. Rice is appointed to represent the head of a state agency responsible for public education for a term commencing August 18, 2022 and expiring at the pleasure of the governor.?

Mrs. Mitchell Wells is reappointed for a term commencing August 18, 2022, and expiring July 31, 2026.??

The State Land Bank Authority works to create a positive economic impact on Michigan communities by recycling land to productive use. They work in a coordinated manner to foster the development of property to promote and support land bank operations at the county and local levels. The authority consists of 7 members, 4 appointed by the Governor. After the initial appointments, members must be appointed for a 4-year term.?
