We recently wrapped up our Democracy Fellowship Summer Program, and I could not be more confident about the future of our country with these young adults at the helm.
Our Team Peters Fellows helped us reach out to voters in the new 50th District through phone banking and canvassing, participated in virtual classes on threats to democracy and how to strengthen democratic processes, and learned about the importance of being involved in our elections.

It’s so important to prepare young adults with the tools they need to become the next generation of Democratic leaders and activists – our democracy quite literally depends on it.

When the time comes to pass the baton of leadership to today’s youth, I’ll feel assured that our democracy is in good hands.
Meeting and working with folks in our student volunteer program and the Fellows who participated in our Democracy Summer Program has strengthened my confidence that there is no shortage of young Democratic leaders who are fired up and ready to build on our work to uplift communities everywhere.
